No prior experience necessary as a volunteer helper and you will get Free Accommodation, Free Internet, Free Laundry and the first opportunity to take paid work as it becomes available, all for approx 3 hours day. Living

Sleeping: You will sleep for free in a dorm room in the Hostel. You may be expected to share with other guests. There is a shared bathroom.

Linen & Laundry: All linen and towels are supplied. We have washing machines on site which you are free to use for your laundry.

Eating: All food purchases and meals are your own responsibility. The hostel has full kitchen facilities where you can prepare your own meals.

Transport: Interstate and international planes arrive at Adelaide Airport, 90km from the Port Elliot Beach House Hostel. Only 400m to the bus stop, Stateliner buses arrive in Port Elliot from Adelaide 4 times daily from Monday to Friday, twice on Saturdays and once on Sundays. Travel time is approximately 1.5-2 hours.

Things to do: Wander across the road from your comfy hostel accommodation to the beautiful beach, where you can surf, swim, kayak, or just relax. Spend hours whale-watching (winter months), go bike riding, explore the towns of Port Elliot and Victor Harbour, try sky-diving or ballooning. Take a daytrip to the McLaren Vale wine and produce region, or enjoy a meal at the beach-front Flying Fish Café.
Nightlife: Meet the locals at one of several fantastic pubs or restaurants, only a short walk from your accommodation. Meanwhile, the ‘bright lights’ of Victor Harbour nightlife is just a 10-minute drive or taxi ride away.
